Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Liles Automation (“Liles Automation,” “we,” “us,” “our”), a business located in Mukilteo, Washington, handles personal information collected through our website at lilesautomation.com (the “Site”) and through our Atlas product and related services (together, the “Services”).
For personal data that belongs to your business's own leads and customers and that Atlas processes on your behalf, we act as your processor and you are the controller. That relationship is governed by our Data Processing Addendum, not this policy. This policy covers data where we decide the purposes — primarily our Site visitors and our own clients' account contacts.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact & inquiry data — your name, business name, email, phone number, and anything you write when you submit a form, book a call, or email us.
- Client account data — if you become a client: billing contact, the integrations you connect (e.g., Google, Slack, your phone number), and account preferences.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage & device data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring page, collected through standard server logs and analytics. See our Cookie Policy.
We do not intentionally collect special-category data (such as health, biometric, or government-ID information) through the Site, and we ask that you not send it to us.
3. How we use information
- To respond to your inquiries and schedule and run discovery calls.
- To provide, operate, support, and improve the Services for our clients.
- To send service and account communications (and, where permitted, occasional updates you can opt out of).
- To bill clients and keep accurate financial records.
- To secure our systems, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
AI processing. Atlas uses third-party AI models (see Sub-processors) to generate drafts and responses. We send the minimum content needed for a task. Our AI providers are contractually barred from using your content to train their general models.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: consent (e.g., optional marketing); contract (to provide the Services you request); legal obligation (tax and accounting); and legitimate interests (to operate and secure our business), balanced against your rights.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with:
- Sub-processors who help us run the Services under contract — listed, with what they touch, on our Sub-processors page.
- Professional advisors (accountant, attorney) and payment processors as needed.
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
- A successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, under terms consistent with this policy.
6. Data retention
We keep inquiry data for up to 24 months after our last contact, client account data for the life of the engagement plus the period needed for tax and legal records (generally up to 7 years for financial records), and server logs for a short rolling window. We delete or anonymize data when it is no longer needed.
7. Security
We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, OAuth-based access (we never store your account passwords), least-privilege access, and an operational kill switch. More detail is on our Trust & Security page. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe.
8. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live (including under the California CCPA/CPRA, the Washington My Health My Data Act, and the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to opt out of sale/sharing (we do neither), and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. To make a request, email eric@lilesautomation.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law allows. You may also unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in the message.
9. Cookies & tracking
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. You can control them as described in our Cookie Policy. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals where required.
10. Children
The Services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
11. International users
We operate in the United States, and our providers are U.S.-based. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your country.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our Services or the law change. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify clients.
